Separate $100K Winners Cash In On Lottery Tickets Sold At CT Food Stores

A pair of winning $100,000 CT Lottery tickets sold at Connecticut food stores have been cashed in on the same day.

First, in New London County, on Monday, March 14, Oakdale resident James Floyd, Jr. cashed in a winning "Pinball Wizard XXIV" scratch-off ticket that was sold at Sams Food Store on Ocean Avenue in New London.

Later that day, Middlesex resident Joseph Rigano, of Middletown, cashed in a second winning $100,000 "CASH5" ticket that was sold at Price Chopper on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington in Hartford County.

According to CT Lottery, “when a winning scratch ticket is validated through a Lottery Retailer's terminal, the remaining number of unclaimed prizes for that prize level is automatically updated reflecting one less prize. Until the individual or group presents their winning ticket for claim at CT Lottery Headquarters, the identity of a winner is unknown.”

Those two players weren't the only CT Lottery players to win big. Other winners who cashed in five-figure prizes include:

On Friday, March 11, Bridgeport resident Manuel Berrios won $10,000 playing "10X Cash 15th Edition" on a ticket sold at the Bridgeport News & Deli;
On March 11, Shelton resident Troy Zaleski won $10,000 playing "30X Cash 9th Edition" on a ticket sold at the Howe Liquor Mart in Shelton;
On March 11, Bridgeport resident Kevin Jeffreys won $10,000 playing "10X Cash 15th Edition" on a ticket sold at the Uptown News & Variety in Bridgeport;
On March 11, West Haven resident Rose McCarthy won $30,000 playing "30X Cash 9th Edition" on a ticket sold at Green Fuel in West Haven;
On March 11, Stratford resident Jose Jimenez Ii won $30,000 playing "30X Cash 10th Edition" on a ticket sold at Turbo News Plus in Stratford;
On March 11, Stratford resident Ihor Stefanyshyn won $10,000 playing "200X" on a ticket sold at the Monroe Turnpike Store;
On March 11, Orange resident Mark Sekas won $20,000 playing "20X Cash 7th Edition" on a ticket sold at the Ohm Grocery Mart in Orange;
On March 14, Plainville resident Cheryl Veloccia won $10,000 playing "10X Cash 15th Edition" on a ticket sold at Aneela 2 in Plainville;
On March 14, Danbury resident Jeffrey Richards won $25,000 playing "Super 10s" on a ticket sold at Stop & Shop in Danbury;
A Meriden resident cashed in a winning $181,026 "CASH5" ticket that was sold at Price Chopper in Middletown;
On March 14, Norwalk resident Henry Fernandez won $20,000 playing "20X Cash 7th Edition" on a ticket sold at The Brothers MJ Grocery in Norwalk;
On March 14, Middletown resident Donald Francassini won $40,000 playing "200X" on a ticket sold at Stop & Shop in Cromwell;
On March 14, Waterbury resident Luis Serrano won $10,000 playing "10X Cash 15th Edition" on a ticket sold at Boru's Bar and Grill in Waterbury;
On March 14, Sandy Hook resident Margery Booth won $10,000 playing "10X Cash 15th Edition" on a ticket sold at the Newtown Mobil in Sandy Hook.
